Steve Cohen Bio

Steve Cohen is an Equity Partner, the Head Trader, and a member of the Management, Risk, and Compliance and Operational Risk Committees at Elliott Management Corporation. Mr. Cohen oversees global risk and trading with an additional focus on cross-asset derivative products and has been with the firm since 2003. Prior to joining Elliott, Mr. Cohen was a Partner in the Special Situations Group at Cathay Financial from 1993 to 2003 and an Equity and Commodity Volatility Group Trader at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg from 1989 to 1993. Mr. Cohen graduated magna cum laude, B.S.B.A., from Washington University.
