Richard Punches Bio

Mr. Punches is a Managing Director, member of the Investment Committee and Executive Committees, and leads EIG’s investment activities in the oil and gas sectors. Prior to joining EIG in 2005, Mr. Punches was an Assistant Vice President with Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for underwriting asset-based loans to middle-market companies. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Mr. Punches was an Associate in the Oil and Gas Group of CIBC World Markets, where he was involved in public equity and debt offerings, private placements, M&A and restructuring assignments for small to mid-cap energy companies. Mr. Punches received a B.S. in Finance from Tulane University.
