Preston Powell Bio

Mr. Powell is an Operating Partner of Carnelian and leads the sourcing, diligence, and evaluation of business combinations for Carnelian’s SPAC franchise, Peridot. Prior to becoming an Operating Partner, Mr. Powell was a member of the investment team at Carnelian. Prior to joining Carnelian, Mr. Powell was a Vice President at Denham Capital Partners. Mr. Powell also previously served as an Associate in the Energy Group of KKR & Co. and an Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Greenhill & Co. Mr. Powell grew up in Dallas, Texas, and received a B.B.A. in Finance with honors from the Business Honors Program from The University of Texas at Austin.
