Mr. Gilbert is the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Carnelian Energy Capital Management, L.P., where he oversees Carnelian’s administrative, compliance, and legal functions. Mr. Gilbert focuses on fund and corporate matters and other strategic firm projects, in addition to serving as a resource to Carnelian’s portfolio investments. Prior to joining Carnelian, Mr. Gilbert was an attorney in the Houston office of Bracewell LLP, an international law firm. Mr. Gilbert grew up in Houston, Texas, and received a Bachelor’s of Journalism with the highest honors from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. with honors from The University of Texas School of Law.
