Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2006, he worked in real estate corporate finance and real estate audit. Umang holds a BMath in Mathematics/Chartered Professional Accountancy and an MAcc from the University of Waterloo. He is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Professional Accountant.
