John Hales Bio

John is a Principal at Bregal Milestone. Before joining the firm, he was an investment professional with Macquarie’s Principal Finance team, the proprietary investing arm of the bank, investing debt and equity in special situations across Europe. Prior to this, he was an investment consultant to Generation Investment and Denham Capital, two growth private equity firms. John holds two masters degrees from Oxford University, where he attended as a Rhodes Scholar, including an MBA from the Saïd Business School. He graduated summa cum laude from his B.Sc in Finance at the University of Cape Town.
