Stephen Kealhofer Bio

Stephen Kealhofer is an Operating Partner and Head of Research for Blackstone Credit’s Systematic Strategies unit. Prior to Blackstone’s acquisition of DCI in 2020, Mr. Kealhofer was a Managing Partner and Director of Research at DCI, LLC. Before joining DCI, Mr. Kealhofer founded and served as managing partner at KMV LLC where he was responsible for research and product development. KMV was sold to Moody’s in April 2002. Before founding KMV, Mr. Kealhofer was director of research for Diversified Corporate Loans, and prior to that he was an assistant professor at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business and at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Mr. Kealhofer received his BA in economics from Macalester College and a PhD in economics from Princeton University.
