Philip Volpicelli Bio

Philip Volpicelli is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of Blackstone’s Private High Grade Portfolio. He was previously the Portfolio Manager of U.S. High Yield Bond strategies and before that he was a member of Blackstone Credit’s Alternative Investment team, where he participated in stressed, distressed and direct lending opportunities. Prior to joining Blackstone Credit in 2015, Mr. Volpicelli was most recently a Director at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. where he handled high yield research coverage of the homebuilding/building products, manufacturing/general industrial and services sectors. Mr. Volpicelli began his career at Bankers Trust Securities Inc., subsequently acquired by Deutsche Bank, and has worked at CIBC World Markets, Goldman Sachs & Co., and Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. in New York and London. In these roles, he has originated, syndicated, traded, invested in, and provided research coverage for both loans and bonds. Mr. Volpicelli received a B.S. from Lehigh University and an M.B.A in Finance from The Stern School of Business at New York University.
