Rob Berner Bio

Rob is a founder and joint managing partner of Bespoke. He has been active in the Private Equity industry for over 30 years. Rob is Chairman of Bespoke’s Investment Committee and sits on the Board of two of Bespoke’s portfolio companies Bespoke Capital Acquisition Corp. and Vinventions. Rob also currently serves as Chairman of two businesses: PrizePlay, a loyalty and affinity marketing business founded by the former CEO of the New York State Lottery; and Johnnie-O, a lifestyle apparel brand. Rob also chaired and recently managed the successful sale of DDS, the largest specialty retail distribution and services business in the United States, to Bunzl Plc. Rob is also on the non-profit Boards of Squash Haven, Youth Inc., and The Kellogg Finance Network. Rob was previously a Partner at CVC Capital Partners, a global private equity firm with over $50 billion of assets under management, and assisted in the opening and development of the firm’s US efforts. Prior to CVC, Rob served as a Managing Director at Ripplewood Holdings and was a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior thereto, Rob was a Partner and member of the Investment Committee of Charterhouse International. Rob began his career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley. Rob has a BBA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He and his wife of 30+ years have five children and reside in Greenwich, CT.
