Merritt Hooper Bio

Ms. Hooper is a Partner and Head of Product Management and Investor Relations, Private Equity in the Ares Investor Relations Group. Prior to joining Ares in 1991, Ms. Hooper was a Senior Credit Analyst at Lion Advisors, L.P. (an affiliate of Apollo Management, L.P.), where she focused on portfolio management and strategy. Previously, Ms. Hooper was a Vice President at Columbia Savings and Loan, where she focused on investment management. Ms. Hooper serves on the executive and investment boards of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Ms. Hooper holds a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in Mathematics and an M.B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles Anderson School of Management in Finance.
