Sophie Rowney Bio

Sophie is a Partner and General Counsel at Alvarium, overseeing its global legal activities across all divisions. She joined Alvarium as Legal Counsel in 2012 and was appointed General Counsel in 2014. Sophie sits on the Alvarium global operational board and the board of Alvarium’s co-investment division. Prior to joining Alvarium, Sophie trained and practised as a solicitor within the finance team at Slaughter and May, advising clients on a range of corporate and financing transactions. She studied Law at BPP University Law School in London and holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Bristol.
