Jonathan Elkington Bio

Jonathan is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Co-Investment-Real Estate at Alvarium. He is responsible for coordinating and overseeing Alvarium’s real estate platform and sits on boards and investment committees of a number of Alvarium’s Joint Venture Partners. He has more than 20 years of experience in principal and private investment. Prior to setting up Alvarium, he founded and was a Partner at Prostar Capital, an advisory firm focused on corporate finance, real estate and international residential development. Prior to that he co-founded and was Managing Director at Deutsche Land, an AIM-listed real estate investment fund with AUM in excess of €600m. He also co-founded Cleland Capital Ltd, which focused on UK real estate, providing equity and debt financing. Jonathan started his career by training as a Fund Manager and became an Equity Analyst in the Pan European Building and Construction Mining sectors, advising on more than £4bn at Brewin Dolphin Securities. He holds a degree in Business Management and Marketing from Newcastle University and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
