Alan Kravets, Managing Director, provides real estate investment banking advisory services and solutions. He draws upon his wide experience developing real estate disposition strategies for healthy owners with non-core or surplus assets, advising on distressed real estate asset restructuring and workouts, and conventional or auction sales in situations for lenders, debtors, trustees, receivers and their professionals. In his position at Ravinia Capital, Alan is involved with the sale of healthy and distressed companies, out-of-court restructurings, and Chapter 7 (Liquidations), Chapter 9 (Municipalities), Chapter 11; 11V (Debtors in Possession), and Chapter 12 (Family Farms) Bankruptcy Solutions. As a former partner and president of Sheldon Good & Company, a national real estate auction firm, Alan was the principal architect of strategic auction sale solutions involving 60 different real estate asset classes and numerous Section 363 and UCC sales. He also co-founded Hilco Real Estate Auctions, now part of Hilco Global. He has been called upon as an Expert Witness for all aspects of real estate. Alan was selected for membership in the Economic Club of Chicago and Lambda Alpha International, and serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Real Estate Law at the University of Illinois at Chicago John Marshall School of Law. Alan is a licensed Illinois attorney and is licensed as a Real Estate Broker or Salesperson in multiple states. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Chicago Bar Association. He received his BBA from Michigan Ross Business School and his JD from the University of Michigan Law School.
