Derek has provided a variety of financial advisory services since 2001. He assists companies with valuation and consulting services for tax compliance, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and litigation/dispute support. Derek works with clients in a wide array of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, oil and gas, food and beverage, life sciences, and technology. Derek’s experience includes assignments involving ASC 805 intangible asset valuation and purchase price allocation, ASC 350 goodwill impairment analyses, IRC 409A valuation of common stock for privately held companies, pre-acquisition due diligence, and various gift/estate tax-related valuations. He also assists in valuing complex financial instruments and businesses for corporate litigation and shareholder disputes, including expert witness testimony.
