Bio

Shane McDaniel is a managing director in Mesirow Financial’s Investment Banking group. He is responsible for developing key relationships, leading deal teams throughout the transaction process and providing advisory services on middle-market M&A assignments within the technology and services sector. Shane has devoted his career to serving executive management teams, institutional investors, family offices and entrepreneurs as an investment banker, principal investor and strategic advisor. Prior to joining Mesirow Financial in 2018, he spent several years on the West Coast as a senior banker with Raymond James' Technology & Services investment banking group. He was also a member of Piper Jaffray's M&A group where he advised clients on a range of corporate finance transactions spanning several industries. Before that, he worked at Chicago-based M&A advisory firms Metronome Partners, Billow Butler & Company and Citi Capital Strategies (a division of Citigroup®). He began his career in financial services with Arthur Andersen's Corporate Finance Group. Shane earned a BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses.
