Jim is the Chief Operating Officer of Mazars and a member of the firm’s executive committee. He also serves on one of the business global boards of Mazars Group, focused on the middle market. Jim has over 25 years of public accounting experience, where he has focused on providing exceptional service to clients in the firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution (“M&D”) Practice. He has also previously led Mazars’ New Jersey Practice. Jim’s experience is in providing auditing, accounting, tax and consulting services to mid-size M&D clients, typically family Owned and Managed Business or entities owned (or partially owned) by Private Equity Groups. The various M&D sectors served include: food (agriculture through retail), transportation and logistics, energy and utilities, and consumer products. His clients include domestic manufacturing and distribution companies as well as importers and exporters of products around the globe. Jim also has a significant background assisting clients in mergers and acquisitions, on both the sale and buy side along with forecasting and strategic planning. He has been trained in Lean Manufacturing and has performed consulting services in the areas of cost management, inventory management, profitability studies, process reviews, cost containment and reduction programs. He is also knowledgeable in corporate and partnership taxation. Jim is a licensed CPA in both New Jersey and New York, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (“NJSCPA”) and has served as a trustee on the NJSCPA’s Political Action Committee. Jim speaks at Mazars client and executive seminars and has been a significant contributor to the Mazars M&D Industry Certification Program and was the former leader of the segment. He also speaks at various NJSCPA and other industry related events. Jim received his BS in Accounting from the University of Delaware. He is a 2014 graduate of the Mazars Executive MBA Program, which has received the CLIP Accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development.
