William Doyle founded Kerlin Capital Group in 1994 following a 22-year career in traditional investment banking. Mr. Doyle began his career with Lehman Brothers in New York and rose to managing director in Los Angeles, where he was one of the senior investment bankers for Lehman on the West Coast. Subsequent to Lehman, Mr. Doyle was a managing director and a member of the investment banking management committee at Bankers Trust, where he founded the firm’s West Coast investment banking group focused on private equity and M&A. He subsequently became head of West Coast investment banking for Prudential Capital Funding and later ran Smith Barney’s Los Angeles investment banking group. During his career Mr. Doyle has managed more than 360 transactions for over 135 investment-banking clients in a broad range of industries. The Los Angeles Business Journal named him one of the top mergers and acquisitions executives in Los Angeles. Mr. Doyle is currently a trustee of the Beverly Foundation. He has previously been a director for Nationwide Health Properties, a public REIT, a director for the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, a director of The Air Group, Inc., a trustee of the Orthopedic Hospital Foundation and a trustee of Flintridge Preparatory School. Mr. Doyle holds a B.A. in economics with honors from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
