Bio

David Schechner is a Managing Director in JMP Securities’ healthcare investment banking group. Prior to joining JMP, David led biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and pharmaceutical services investment banking at Robert W. Baird & Co. He was previously head of the pharmaceuticals investment banking group at Canaccord Genuity, after founding and leading the biotechnology investment banking group at Needham & Company. He also held senior investment banking roles at Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns, focusing on healthcare and technology. David holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Cornell University.
