Mr. Sweeney rejoined Hilliard Lyons Investment Banking in 2010 after three years as a principal with bCatalyst Advisors. From 1997 to 2006, Mr. Sweeney was a vice president in the Investment Banking Group with Hilliard Lyons, focusing on middle-market M&A and public and private capital raising. Prior to joining Hilliard Lyons in 1997, Mr. Sweeney spent two years as a partner with Southern Capital Corporation, a Richmond-based LBO firm with portfolio holdings in insurance and radio broadcasting. He also worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Morgan Stanley Investment Banking and with the FIG-Insurance Group at CS First Boston. Mr. Sweeney received his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College, and his BA from Amherst College.
