Mr. Brown has over eighteen years of investment banking and private equity experience. Prior to HamptonRock Partners, Mr. Brown was a Partner with BV Investment Partners, a middle-market private equity firm focused in technology and IT services, where he was a member of the investment committee and was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing investment opportunities across multiple industries. Prior to BV, Mr. Brown spent fourteen years providing merger and acquisition advisory services to both public and private clients across a variety of situations and industries. Mr. Brown was Managing Director and head of multiple industry groups at a tech-enabled services focused Dallas-based advisory firm. Mr. Brown worked as a member of the investment banking team with Citigroup, in New York, and began his investment banking career with Stephens Inc. Over the course of Mr. Brown’s career he has specialized in advising private, founder and family owned businesses as they seek a strategic or financial partner, implement acquisition strategies or raise capital for strategic business growth. He has been a frequent speaker on middle-market M&A trends. Mr. Brown received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the South at Sewanee and his MBA from Wake Forest University.
