amien Sauer is a Partner in the Zurich office of GCA. He covers the European market advising leading companies on M&A assignments. In the last few years, Damien completed more than 20 deals in the sub-metering services, nuclear, transmission and distribution, and renewable sectors for a total value exceeding $12 billion. Damien draws upon his understanding of how energy efficient solutions impact the competitiveness of industrial businesses to advise his clients on executing their growth strategies. In particular, he has developed a direct and deep dialogue with Asian conglomerates interested in developing solutions around Sustainable Infrastructure. Damien joined GCA from AREVA, where he was Head of M&A and executed acquisitions and joint ventures with European, US, Asian, and South American partners. Before being promoted to Head of M&A, Damien was Senior M&A Manager at AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution division. Damien holds an MBA from the London Business School, as well as a Master’s Degree in Finance and Accounting and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Paris Dauphine. Damien is a French citizen.
