Garima is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Eight Capital. Garima is a legal professional having over fifteen years of diverse experience in various banking and financial transactions. Prior to joining Eight Capital, she worked as the General Counsel and Chief Anti Corruption Officer at IIFL Finance. Garima set up the legal team at IIFL focusing on NBFC business and strategy and was instrumental to create Environmental, Social and Governance Framework and policies at IIFL. Garima also worked with ICICI Bank at Corporate Legal Advisory as Senior Group Head and with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP at New York. She has extensively worked and focused on capital markets, corporate lending and restructuring, treasury, derivatives, structured financial products, wholesale and retail products and on regulatory practice. She is a gold medalist, holding B.A.LL.B (Hons.) degree from National Law Institute University, Bhopal.
