Mr. Tardio is a Managing Director with EdgePoint Capital Advisors. In this role, he is responsible for advising the firm’s clients in matters related to mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions. Prior to joining EdgePoint, Mr. Tardio spent over 20 years as a senior investment banker at HT Capital Advisors in New York, NY, Chicago, IL and Cleveland, OH. During his tenure at HT Capital, Mr. Tardio worked closely with privately held and publicly traded companies and private equity firms, leading the execution of middle market transactions across a range of industries, with an emphasis on businesses in the Consumer Products, Food & Beverage and Printing & Packaging industries. His financial advisory experience includes buy and sell-side M&A transactions, strategic alternative assessments, fairness opinions, corporate divestitures, as well as debt and equity financings. Mr. Tardio also served as President of HT Capital Securities, the broker/dealer affiliate of HT Capital. Mr. Tardio also served as a Manager in the Technology Integration Services division of Andersen Consulting (Arthur Andersen & Co.) in Chicago, IL. At Andersen, he worked with many middle market and Fortune 500 clients in a wide range of sectors including financial services, distribution, manufacturing, consumer and industrial products and services, and healthcare. Mr. Tardio earned his MBA with an emphasis in corporate finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and earned his BS in Computer Science from the School of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He maintains FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 79 and 99 licenses.
