Mak Lye Mun is the Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Bank, Singapore and Country Head of CIMB Singapore. In addition to these roles, he is also the Regional Head of CIMB Group’s Private Banking business. Lye Mun is also director of CIMB Securities (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and holds non-executive directorships in Boardroom Limited and Tat Hong Holdings Ltd. He joined CIMB following the acquisition of GK Goh Securities Pte. Ltd. in 2005, where he served as the Head of Corporate Finance. Previously, Lye Mun was Head of Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory Department with the then Development Bank of Singapore (now DBS Bank Ltd). He held various senior positions in the corporate finance divisions of Vickers Ballas & Co. Pte. Ltd., Ernst & Young, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited and Citicorp Investment Bank (Singapore) Limited. Lye Mun is 58 years old and holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree (1st Class Honours) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. He is also a Charterholder of CFA Singapore.
