Katie started her career with Chesapeake Corporate Advisors in 2021. She serves as a Vice President in the firm’s investment banking practice. Previously, Katie founded Diamond Strategic Advisors in 2014 to provide clients with support on M&A transactions and other strategic projects. Katie partnered with her clients and offered her expertise on M&A transactions to create value. Starting in 2019, Katie worked at M&T Bank in business banking sales for less than one year before refocusing on Diamond Strategic Advisors. ​ Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Katie served as a Vice President at Sagent Advisors, a boutique investment bank. At Sagent, Katie executed sell-side, buy-side, and private financing transactions. During her five-year tenure, she worked on eight deals that closed for a combined transaction value of $1.3 billion. Additionally, Katie spent three years at Sagent in a business development role and cultivated relationships with private equity firms. She was responsible for building a network of middle-market private equity firms to source new business opportunities and successfully helped originate two transactions. Before joining Sagent, Katie worked in operational and financial roles at Fidelity Investments for five years. Katie graduated cum laude from The Carroll School of Management of Boston College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in Mathematics. Katie earned a Master of Business Administration with Honors from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. tbrasel@ccabalt.com Director Timothy Brasel Timothy possesses significant experience in investment banking and financial advisory services. Prior to joining CCA, he was a Vice President with HighBank Advisors, LLC, a Baltimore-based middle market investment bank. There, he provided clients with sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory services, as well as debt and equity capital raising services, valuation advisory, and restructuring services across a wide range of industries including business services, industrials, technology, healthcare, and consumer services. During his three year tenure with the firm, Timothy was involved in advising and closing more than 15 transactions with an aggregate value of nearly $250 million. He previously held positions as a Research Analyst with The Harborside Group and as an Associate at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore. In his highly-visible Director role with CCA, Timothy will be responsible for leading clients in sell-side and buy-side engagements. ​ Timothy earned an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland, CollegePark and a B.S. in Finance from Salisbury University. At Salisbury University he was a three-year letter winner on the Division III Men’s Basketball team as well as an Academic All-Conference Team member.
