Bio

John is a graduate of the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, with a M.A. (Honours) degree in Political Science. He began his career with the Parliament of New Zealand becoming the Executive Assistant to the Minister of Trade and Industry. He went on to the investment banking division at The First Boston Corporation in New York and Melbourne, where he was involved in a variety of corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts and restructuring. In 1988 he established ARC Associates in the USA and the primary focus on the Telecommunications, Information Technology and Media industries began in 1990 when he moved to Europe. He is non-executive Chairman of hSo. He is a non-executive Director of Sonim Technologies Inc. and Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is also a trustee of WildInvest, a conservation charity. John has also led the development of the property and financial services work at ARC.
