Lara specialises in Intellectual Property (IP) and has extensive experience in all types of contentious and non-contentious IP matters. Lara’s expertise extends to trade mark applications and oppositions (both locally and internationally), advising on the protection and commercialisation of IP, conducting IP audits and due diligences, handling various types of IP disputes (including copyright infringements, trade mark infringements, passing off, unfair competition, Advertising Standards Authority complaints and domain name disputes), advising on IP aspects during corporate transactions and restructures, drafting all types of commercial agreements involving IP rights and confidential information (including joint venture/collaboration agreements, research and development agreements, assignment agreements, licence agreements, franchise agreements and restraint agreements), as well as providing advice on the labelling of foodstuffs and promotional competitions.
