Kevin Blatchford Bio

Kevin Blatchford is a partner in Sidley’s Chicago office and global co-leader of the firm’s Capital Markets practice group. His principal areas of practice are corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations/bankruptcy. Kevin has a broad based corporate practice representing clients in a number of industries. He has extensive experience in corporate finance – public and private debt and equity offerings (issuer and underwriter/agent) and corporate transactions – public and private mergers, acquisitions and dispositions; joint ventures; and investments. Kevin also has substantial experience in the restructuring and corporate reorganization context, including handling the corporate and securities aspects of the restructuring of Federal Mogul Corporation, Dex One Corporation (R.H. Donnelley), Tribune Company, Smurfit-Stone Container, Blockbuster and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publisher. He has industry experience in consumer products, paper and packaging products, automotive, manufacturing and energy/utilities. Kevin is recommended in Finance in The Legal 500 US 2015 – 2017. He was also recognized in the 2015 – 2019 editions of The Best Lawyers in America in Securities/Capital Markets Law and has been recommended in the 2015 edition of IFLR1000 for Capital Markets in the United States.
