Myriam Baars-Schilling Bio

Myriam Baars-Schilling is specialised in advising German and foreign clients on national and cross-border M&A transactions and joint venture projects. She also regularly assists international enterprises on group restructurings, reorganisation measures and other general questions of corporate law. She has particular expertise in the information technology and industrial sector. The German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche lists her as a leading lawyer in the field of M&A. Myriam Baars-Schilling is a partner at Oppenhoff. From 2005 to 2009 she was an associate at Allen & Overy LLP in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. She studied law at the Universities of Trier and Bonn. During her legal training Myriam inter alia worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Cologne and Siemens AG in Munich. Within the scope of her secondment in 2008, Myriam worked for the central legal department of Evonik Industries AG, M&A division.
