Liu Su Bio

Mr. Liu is a partner at Haiwen & Partners, resident in the Beijing office. His practice focuses on securities offering, merger and acquisition, foreign direct investment and general corporate matters. Mr. Liu joined Haiwen in 1997 and became a partner in 2002. Mr. Liu was previously working at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the PRC form 1995 to 1997. The representative securities offering and listing transactions that Mr. Liu advised on include: (1) A Shares: China World Trade Center, KONKA Group, China Merchants Bank, Shangdong Infrastructure, CSCEC, CNOOC Tech & Services, CICC, Wanda Film; (2) H Shares: Sichuan Expressway, Beijing Capital International Airport, China Telecom, China Shenhua Energy, Agricultural Bank of China, China Cinda AMC, China Huarong AMC, China Reinsurance, Bank of Jiujiang, CICC, Postal Savings Bank of China; (3) HK or US listings of offshore companies involving onshore business (including “Red-Chip” companies): China Mobile, China Unicom, China Netcom, SINA, Tencent, Hurray!, Baidu, Kingsoft, Alibaba.com, Solarfun Power, New Oriental Education, ChinaEdu, TAL Education, Terena Education, Maple Leaf Education, Wisdom Education, Chunlai Education, China Education Group, China Mass Media, Youku, BONA Film Group, Weibo, Leju, Qunar, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery, IMAX China, BEST Inc., Jianpu Technology, Aurora Mobile, China Renaissance, 36Kr, Yincheng Life Service, ChinData Group. Mr. Liu also participated in and advised on various listed-companyinvolved material restructuring and strategic investment transactions, as well as a number of private equity investment and acquisition transactions in education, media, Internet, telecommunications, energy and resource, financial industries. Mr. Liu also provides advice on general corporate matters to both domestic and multinational corporate clients regularly. Mr. Liu received his LL.B. degree and his LL.M. degree from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China in 1992 and 1995, respectively. Mr. Liu’s native language is Chinese and he is fluent in English.
