RocÃo Belda is a partner in the Corporate/Commercial Law Department of the firm and her practice focuses on commercial and corporate transactions and M&A. RocÃo has participated in operations of acquisition, reestructuring, joint ventures and contract of various kinds, at national and international level. She regularly advises clients on corporate and contractual matters. She is the non-director secretary of the Board of Directors of a number of Spanish companies. She is broadly recognized and experienced in the field of distribution. In this area she has been involved in a wide range of transactions regarding the launch, restructuring, acquisition, transformation, contract and in pre-litigious transactions relating to distribution and franchise networks for different products and services. RocÃo has a background in the practice of EU and Competition Law since she started her career in the European Commission and, later on, in the Brussels office of the firm. Since 2008 she is listed by International legal directories Best Lawyers and Who is Who Legal as a leading practitioner in corporate/M&A and franchise matters. She has been an associate lecturer at the Commercial Law Department of the University Carlos III of Madrid (1997 through 2004), an associate lecturer at the Commercial Law Department of the University Juan Carlos I de Madrid (2010 and 2011) and a lecturer on the Course on European Community Law of the Zaragoza Bar (1993 through 2001). She is a member of the Madrid Bar and the IBA (International Bar Association). She is vice-chair of the IBA International Franchising Commitee. She is also a member of Eurofranchise Lawyers. RocÃo regularly speaks in various legal and business fora, both at a national and international level, regarding the matters of her expertise.
