Roberto Delgado Gil Bio

Roberto Delgado is a Partner in Garrigues’ Corporate Department, where he forms part of the Corporate team. In this area, he specializes in domestic and international business and corporate restructuring and reorganization transactions, having headed multidisciplinary teams comprising finance, tax and labor experts, dedicated in particular to the design and implementation of this type of transactions. As a member of the Garrigues’ Corporate Department, he has taken part in investment and divestment processes at Spanish and foreign companies and is familiar with the milestones typical to such transactions (due diligence, investment contracts, shareholders’ agreements, etc.). Due to the particular features of the deals to which he has contributed, he has specialized (as acknowledged by the legal market) in commercial contracts. He has played a particularly key role in the hotel and family business industries, providing services specific to board secretaries in this type of financial deal, advising on specific agreements in these industries (hotel management, franchise and lease agreements and joint venture agreements). Prior to joining Garrigues, he worked for Arthur Andersen, acquiring expertise in accounting and tax law. He is actively involved in teaching and as a speaker at a range of forums. He is an associate lecturer at Centro de Estudios Garrigues, where he is currently responsible for the commercial contract module on the Master’s Degree in Business Law. Elsewhere, he is an active contributor to other forums and teaching institutions related to corporate law, such as Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF), Universidad Francisco de Vitoria and the International Faculty for Executives - IFAES-. Moreover, he is a regular speaker at Firm seminars and conferences relating to the tourism industry and various related forums such as CEHAT (Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation). He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
