Claire Newton Bio

Claire joined the firm as an Associate Solicitor in October 2015 and was appointed Director of Executry Services in April 2018. Born and educated in Dundee, Claire graduated from the University of Dundee with a first class honours degree in law and, after her successful completion of the Diploma in Legal Practice, she gained the accolade of being named the best student in her year group. A skilled legal practitioner, Claire provides tailored advice to her clients on a range of Private Client related matters including Wills, Powers of Attorney and, primarily, the administration of Executry estates. Her calm and sensitive approach to these matters can be relied upon by individual clients and their families and Claire takes enormous pride in guiding her clients through this difficult time and nurturing and maintaining a lasting relationship with them. Claire has also been a tutor on the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Dundee since 2016 where she teaches students on the core element of the Private Client module.
