Paul Plaia Bio

Paul Jr. is an attorney, an advisor to software companies and a founding partner of SilverCloud. He currently sits on various boards and contributes to a number of civic organizations. Paul Jr. was one of the original investors in gomembers, Inc. and ultimately joined the company as its General Counsel in 1998. As General Counsel, he was responsible for all legal matters including M&A. Before joining gomembers, he was a Senior Managing Partner at the international law firm of Howrey & Simon in DC where he specialized in complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. Previous to Howrey, he founded his own firm, which was later merged with Howrey. He began his legal career with the International Trade Commission (ITC). Paul Jr. holds a B.S. in economics and accounting from St. Francis University and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore. He is a member of the Bars of the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland.
