A founder of Rockcliffe Partners, Michael started his career in 1980 with Southam Inc., Canada’s leading publisher, and moved to Germany in 1987 as International Marketing Director for a telecoms firm. Since 1990 he has worked as an independent business development consultant in Geneva’s financial community. In addition to his consulting for leading Swiss banks and financial institutions, Michael set up a business brokerage program for a European network of UHNW client advisors. Michael is a founding partner and director of a number of companies, including Kalvin K. Associates S.A. (business development), Rating Capital Partners (an international fiduciary risk rating agency), Bisange S.A. (small cap financing), Blue Orchard S.A. (microbank financing) and CPM S.A. (private HNW wealth advisory). During the last six years Michael has focused increasingly on sub-Saharan Africa, where he has advised on numerous mid-market transactions in energy and transportation infrastructure, real estate development, natural resources and financial services.
