Paul Sheaffer Bio

Paul Sheaffer is a Partner in the Restructuring and Special Situations Group at PJT Partners, based in New York. Since joining PJT Partners’ predecessor firm Blackstone in 2010, Mr. Sheaffer has worked on a variety of restructuring transactions. Examples of Mr. Sheaffer’s public assignments include American Seafoods, Avaya, Cengage Learning, Cumulus Media, Fieldwood Energy, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Key Energy and Lee Enterprises. Prior to Blackstone, Mr. Sheaffer was an Associate at Angelo, Gordon & Co. in the Special Situations and Private Equity Group, working on transactions and restructurings in a variety of industries, including retail and specialty finance. Before working at Angelo, Gordon & Co., Mr. Sheaffer was an Analyst in Blackstone’s Restructuring & Reorganization Group, advising on a variety of restructuring transactions. Mr. Sheaffer received a BS in Analytical Finance and an MS in Accountancy from Wake Forest University.
