RJ Lumba Bio

Previously, RJ was a vice president at Lazard Frères and senior member of its alternative capital finance group where he advised private companies in raising capital from institutional investors and family offices. Prior to joining Lazard, RJ was a vice president at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in its equity private placements group. He has raised over $2 billion for private companies during his investment banking career. RJ has long been a proponent for economic development and providing companies and entrepreneurs with efficient access to capital. Earlier in his career, RJ was a member of the investment team for ProFund Internacional, one of the first private equity firms to invest in microfinance institutions. In addition, he led the capital raising practice for TechnoServe, a leading global economic development firm. RJ began his finance career as an M&A analyst with Robertson Stephens. He earned an MBA from Cornell University where he was a Park Fellow and a BS in commerce from the University of Virginia. RJ is also a graduate of The Juilliard School.
