Joe Burke Bio

Joe Burke is Partner, Diligence, for the Transaction Services practice. Burke has participated in hundreds of financial and accounting due diligence projects including stand-alone acquisitions, corporate carve-outs, add-on transactions and joint ventures with transaction sizes ranging from less than $10 million to over $10 billion. He has experience leading buy-side and sell-side due diligence projects in a variety of industries including government contracting, aerospace and defense, telecommunication services, life sciences, healthcare, business services and for-profit education. Prior to joining Grant Thornton in 2018, Burke previously held positions in the assurance and business advisory for Arthur Andersen, EY and a global accounting firm as well as operational experience Jordan Industries, Ameritech/SBC and Focal Communications. Joe has over 25 years leading transformational international and domestic diligence projects for companies nationwide, bringing to bear technical accounting, valuation, IT, operational and integration resources.
