Katsuhiro Sumiyoshi Bio

Katsuhiro has over 18 years of investment banking experience working with global investment banks such as UBS, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan. He has extensive M&A expertise primarily in Industrials including Automotive, Machinery, Metals and Mining, Energy and Chemical sectors, and has originated and executed numerous M&A and financing transactions for various Japanese blue-chip companies in both domestic and cross-border situations. He also advised large-scale industry consolidations such as Nippon Steel’s merger with Sumitomo Metal Industries and Nippon Mining Holding’s merger with Nippon Oil. He is also experienced in cross-border transactions involving overseas asset sales by large-cap Japanese companies such as INPEX and Mitsui& Co. Katsuhiro graduated from University of Tokyo majoring in Economics and received an MBA from Darden Business School, University of Virginia.
